I say this often … count not the hours you put in, count the outcomes you produce. Showing up is IMPORTANT, but not enough. Even slackers show up to work for a paycheck. Hours don’t matter, the work you produce speaks.
On that same note, respect the guy / gal who can get more done in less time. Don’t count how many hours they worked. Compensate them for the value they add. Everyone works hard in their own way, but those whose work makes a difference are making the real difference.
